A loan of $800 helped to buy food products to make dishes for sale.

Herminia's story

Herminia: She is single, and is 56 years old. She has 3 adult daughters who live with her. She has 9 grandchildren. She works selling food, one of her daughters helps her to make sales. She sells on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in her home. She has spent 14 years selling food. Doña Herminia began selling atoll (a corn drink), chips, and stuffed chilis in her home, but she decided to sell food because it would leave her with a little more earnings. Her daughters help her with the expenses of the household. She has worked with the foundation for 7 years getting loans, and she has been a good member. She is very thankful for FAPE, as it has helped her a great deal and she thinks that it is a benefit. As she dreams of having a big business and to continue working, now she is asking for a new loan in order to buy food products to make her dishes, to transport it to her food stall, and with the rest, to rent a stall and so be able to sell everyday, as currently she only sells three days a week.
