Gladys is 24 years old, married to John, a businessman. They are blessed with five children aged 12, 9, 6, 4 and 2 years old. She buys and sells beans in Chepterit trading center. She has been in the business for a period of one year, earning a monthly income of 13,000 KES.
She has applied for her first loan, for KES 20,000, which she intends to use to buy more beans from local farmers for resale. She plans to use the anticipated profits to buy some livestock and contribute to the upkeep of her family.
She hopes to work harder and be self-sustainable in the future.
