Elcira Pepita's story

Elcira is 53 years old. She has seven children who all now live independently. Elcira lives with her husband in Coretal II, in Guadalupe district, in La Libertad.

Elcira has a small grocery store in her home where she works. She offers her neighbors and local customers dairy products and also basic household products, groceries, fruit and soda which makes her income with which to cover her family expenses. Her business is very popular. Elcira also raises animals, especially sheep and birds, in some pens which are located near her home. She feeds them grain and natural pasture. When they have reached a good level of development, she offers them for sale to the traders who frequently visit her area.

Elcira would like to acquire balanced feed for her birds and sheep since her demand has increased recently. She hopes to obtain better results in her business and so has requested a loan for 3,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa.

Elcira helps her husband to financially support their family. She has very good references. People from her town recognize her as a hard-working and responsible woman.
