A loan of $450 helped to purchase fertilizers and farming supplies.

Ramiro José's story

Sr. Ramiro is 50 years old and resides in the town of Ticuantepe. He and his wife, a fruit and vegetable merchant, work together to cover the household expenses. They have an adult son who is independent.

His plans for his family include improving their kitchen which is currently outdated. His wife does not have enough room for preparing the daily meals. Don Ramiro has worked as a farmer for 25 years. The greatest challenge he has faced in growing pineapple has been dealing with pests that have invaded his fields and prevented him from providing adequate maintenance.

The loan he is requesting will be used to buy fertilizers and supplies in order to provide better conditions for his pineapple crop and promote a profitable harvest.
