A loan of $550 helped to buy fertilizers and agrochemicals for growing mangos.

Miguel's story

Miguel is 32 years old and lives with his wife and two children in a rural community of Tambogrande district - Piura. He is known as a well-mannered, honest and hard-working man.

Miguel is a farmer. He owns farmland, which he inherited from his mother, where he grows two types of mango that he currently has in production. Miguel has five years experience in farming and he has known how to grow his products very well which has led to a great demand for his produce.

Miguel also owns a motorcycle taxi (a motorcycle with a cabin in back for transporting passengers) which he uses to provide a public transport service. Combined with the money he makes from his crops, this helps him to support his family.

Miguel is requesting a loan for 1,500 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa which he will invest in buying fertilizers and agrochemicals for his mango crop. It will help him to ensure good flowering and fruiting.

Miguel is very grateful for this loan since he has a great desire to provide his customers with a good harvest.
