Belen's story

Belén is a single older woman who lives in Coapilla, located in the State of Chiapas, Mexico. She completed up to second grade of elementary school, as her parents did not have the resources to provide her with an education.

She has worked making bread for the past 17 ½ years and says that it is going well, as she has been able to get her family ahead in life, including her nephews.

She tells us that her mother taught her to make bread when she was very young and over time, she began to practice and that is how she continues working today. It provides her with good profits, which is what she uses to cover the expenses generated in their daily life.

What she wants most from her work and this loan is to continue working as long as God continues giving her life.
