Georgea Group's story

The Georgea Group consists of three hardworking and enterprising individuals who have participated in 14 loan cycles with ADIM. Three of those loans have been with Kiva. The group coordinator is Sra. Miriam, age 41. As a young woman, she started a dressmaking shop with some savings and a sewing machine.

Miriam has three children (ages 15, 17, and 19) who are in school. Her daughter helps with the business in her spare time. Miriam will use her loan to buy fabrics.

The other members are as follows: • María de los Ángeles is 55 years old and has a small vending post where she sells sodas, refreshments, ice, and other items. • Paulo Antonio sells watermelons.
