Ecuador
Ibarra, Ecuador / Agriculture

A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase supplies needed to increase mulberry production.

Bertha's story

Sra. Bertha is 37 years old and lives in the city of Pimampiro. She is married and has a son who is a high school student. Bertha completed her secondary education.

She and her husband engage in agriculture, especially the cultivation of mulberries. Their harvest is delivered to a factory called “Jugo Fácil” (Easy Juice). The income generated through their farming activities has enabled them to provide an education for their son, make improvements to their home, and acquire equipment for their work.

Bertha is now requesting a new loan so that she can increase her mulberry production. In the future, she wants to continue supporting her son and provide him with a good education.
