A loan of $375 helped purchase cows for her cattle trading business.

Bertha's story

Bertha is a member of the Sisters of Choquetanca II Community Bank. She lives in the district of Llave, El Collao Province, in the department of Puno. She is 31 years old and is married with three school-age children. She completed her third year of secondary education.

Bertha raises and trades cattle and pigs. At the same time she also farms (she grows potatos, quinoa, beans, and other grains). Her main business is trading cattle. She works alongside her husband and sons.

She is a new member of the Manuela Ramos Movement, and she is applying for a loan of 1,000 new soles which she will use to buy more cattle.

Her dream is to have high quality cattle because this will allow her to increase her income.

What she likes most about the Community Bank is the ease of the loan process.
