Nancy Del Carmen's story

Nancy has been living in Soledad for three years in a two family home with her husband, who is an independent worker. She sells merchandise via catalogue. Her husband and her children help her support the home. Nancy is associated with several catalogues through which she offers a variety of products like kitchen containers, cosmetics, underwear, natural remedies, etc. Her business has a wooden display case, a small desk, secretarial chairs and plastic chairs where she tends to customers because, besides earning income selling assorted merchandise, she also sells minutes of cell phone air time, an activity her daughter, who lives on the first floor with her husband who is an independent Security Guard, helps her with.

Nancy pays cash for her merchandise and sells it on credit always responding to customer orders. She has been establishing her base of regular customers for a little less than three years.

She intends to use her first Kiva loan to buy cologne, creams, body wash, dyes, talc, eyelashes, eye liner, underwear and natural remedies that are on sale to earn a little more money buying them in volume so that her customers can also access these special offers at a very good price.
