A loan of $750 helped to have maintenance work carried out on his motorcycle taxi and to buy animals.

Walter Andres's story

Walter is a 31 year-old client who lives with his wife and young son in the rural area of Yonan, a small village located in the city of Cajamarca. The community where Walter lives is noted for having green areas all around and for the cheerful and entrepreneurial people who live in it.

Walter is a cheerful person who provides a passenger transport service in his motorcycle taxi (a motorcycle with a cabin in back for transporting passengers). This mode of transport is very common in small communities in Peru. In addition, Walter and his wife have been raising and selling farmyard animals for six years and have a good customer base in their community.

Walter is a hard-working man who is requesting a loan to expand one of his businesses. He is requesting a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa and would like to invest that money in buying farmyard animals (ducks and pigs). He would also like to have some maintenance work carried out on his motorcycle taxi. This will enable him to make more income for his family.

Walter has had previous loans which he repaid punctually and responsibly.
