Segundo Fernando's story

Segundo Fernando R. M., 45, is married living with his wife and children in Guaranda Canton, Bolívar Province. He has four children.

The NUCANCHI KAWSAY communal bank is located in the community of El Rayo, Guanujo Parish, Guaranda Canton 25 minutes from the Cooperative’s office. The members are in a variety of occupations: farming, cattle raising, commerce, small farm animal raising, bricklaying and sawmill.

Segundo is a farmer, raises animals and is also a bricklayer. Purchases take place in Guaranda’s market and sales at the wholesale market in that same city.

He is asking for the loan to buy supplies and animal feed. Assistance from the loan will help him economically to meet his needs. The challenges he faces are insect infestations, diseases and weather variations. His dream is to have more cattle, improve quality of life and that his children study.

He enjoys reading books, listening to music and playing sports.
