A loan of $500 helped to buy supplies and animal feed.

Jaime Ramiro's story

Jaime Ramiro G. C. is 25 years old, single, and lives with his mother and son in the Canton of Guaranda, located in the Province of Bolívar. He has one son.

The members of the ‘Grupo de Mujeres Carbón Chinipamba’ Communal Bank live in the community of Carbón Chinipampa, four blocks from the Canton of Guaranda and 20 minutes from the Cooperativa San José office. The majority of the group members work in agriculture, cattle farming and as merchants. They grow rice, barley, beans, quinoa, and potatoes and raise animals like dairy cows and barnyard animals.

Jaime works in agriculture growing barley, potatoes, corn, peas and wheat. The land belongs to his parents and he also has six cattle, pigs and chickens. He makes his purchases in the Guaranda market and sells his products at the wholesale market in the same city.

He is requesting this loan to buy supplies and feed for his animals, which will help him financially to meet his needs. He faces difficulties such as pests, diseases and changes in the weather. His dream is to buy land and a vehicle.

He likes to play sports and participate in the carnival festivities.
