A loan of $675 helped to grow beans and buy fertilizer to improve his land.

Teodoro's story

Teodoro, 45, lives with his wife and children in his own house in the district of Reque, about 15 minutes from the province of Chiclayo. The type of work in this area is mainly in agriculture, livestock farming and handicrafts.

For ten years Teodoro has been raising corn and sweet potato crops, healthy, vitamin-rich foods consumed daily by the local population. He sells his crops wholesale and retail at the Moshoqueque Market in Chiclayo. In order to increase his income he wants to start growing beans to broaden his product range.

He has requested a loan in the amount of 1,800 PEN through Edpyme Alternativa to begin growing beans and buy fertilizer to improve his land and crops. Selling corn and sweet potatoes has improved his family's lifestyle.

Teodoro is known in the agricultural community as a hard-working, responsible person who only wants to give his children the best opportunities
