A loan of $1,500 helped a member to buy accessories for breakfast-making.

Tedungal Group's story

The group Tedungal was established on October 12, 2010 at the inauguration of the Banc Villageois Dialicounda Kawral. It is composed of ten women who work in small-scale commerce. Note: Since Banna G. and COUMB. S. are not clearly visible in the photo, they are considered absent.

Ms. CoumB.  S. (standing at the far right in the photo) is the group’s official. She is 48 years old, married, and the mother of eight children. She sells fruit at the weekly market of Diaobé. And she sells breakfasts on the side. She has a good command of this business because of her experience in it for over five years.

With her new loan, she plans on stocking up on mangoes, in part. For the remainder, she will buy various accessories for making breakfasts. She envisions supporting her husband better in covering family expenses.

In this group: Meta, Siranding, Coumba*, Mayo, Hadiango, Ramatoulaye, Ansata, Adama Woury, Banna*, Fatoumatou
