Muqqadas' Group's story

Muqqadas lives in Kamoki, which is a small city in Punjab, Pakistan famous for its agriculture industry. She has been living there in a two-room brick house with her family in the area of Chajoki for the past eight years. She is a housewife as well as a working woman, Along with her household work, she does embroidery for her neighborhood clients. She is known as an expert in her work and provides good quality services to her clients. Her husband belongs to an agriculture profession. He works in his field and grows different seasonal crops to sell to his clients for profit. He works very hard all day in the field to fulfill the basic needs of the family. Muqqadas is the mother of two daughters and a five-month-old son. Both of her daughters are getting their education.

She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah to buy fertilizers, seeds and pesticides for her husband who will use it on his field to get maximum output. Muqqadas is hopeful that the loan will enable her husband to get more profits from his business and improve her family’s living conditions.
