Lidia's story

Lidia is a member of the “El Arenal” communal bank in Callería District, Ucayali Department. She’s 65 years old, married and has 6 children.

She’s been collaborating with Manuela Ramos for 15 years and during this time she’s accomplished many things like provide her children with education build her house and now live at peace with her children who are professionals and have known how to appreciate all the sacrifice she made so that they could become upstanding citizens.

She will use her new 3000 new sol loan to buy 12 sets of sleepwear, 6 blouses, 2 dresses, 4 pants, 4 skirts, 12 Polo shirts and 6 men’s shirts.

She buys her merchandise in Lima. She places orders that arrive directly to her location and she sells them in nearby communities. She has an established regular clientele that she sells to on credit and if they don’t have any money they pay her with animals. She wants to continue working with Manuela Ramos for more time to improve her income
