Rayo De Luz 1 & 2 Group

A loan of $2,150 helped a member to purchase milk, sugar, coconut, etc.

Rayo De Luz 1 & 2 Group's story

Natividad is the coordinator of her group, Rayo de Luz 1 & 2 (Ray of Light), located in the rural area surrounding La Romana. She makes her home here in a simple structure with her six children, as a single mom, dedicated to work to help them.

Natividad is excited to be taking her second loan with Kiva partner Esperanza after having successfully repaid her previous loan and grown her business. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business where she makes traditional candies, made with coconut or milk, to sell in her community. She said that her most difficult challenge has been to raise her children and provide for them.

She started doing her business almost one year ago with some money she saved, and as soon as she began selling, she was invited to become part of the group. She thanks you all for your support.

In this group: Natividad, Eliliet, Ana, Yeni, Juana, Enemencia*, Pilar, Estela, Francisca, Mercedes
