A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase barbed wire, bags of salt, and a calf.

Florinda's story

Sra. Florinda is a member of the Communal Bank “El Arenal” which is located in the District of Calleria, Department of Ucayali. She is 69 years old, married, and has five adult children.

Florinda has worked with the loans from Manuela Ramos for 15 years and has invested in a livestock business that is owned by her family. The most difficult work is done by her husband while she spends her time exclusively taking care of the animals.

With this new loan of 3000 PEN, Florinda will buy three rolls of barbed wire, five bags of salt, and one calf. Her business of selling meat and milk, products that come from her animals, is profitable because these items are valued in the commercial market. Despite her age, Florinda will continue to work as long as she has the strength. She says that she will continue to utilize the loans from Manuela Ramos in order to grow her business.
