A loan of $725 helped to buy school and office supplies to stock her store.

Milagros's story

Milagros is 38-years-old and a very pleasant and hard-working woman. She lives in her own house along with her husband Julio who is 39-years-old and their four beloved children who they want to offer a better quality of life. Milagros has a small bookshop in the Ventanilla district in Lima. She sells notebooks, pens, markers, etc. Now she is selling the latest in school supplies as she wants to take advantage of the big demand right now from students in schools near her business. For her, the most difficult part of her business is knowing which products will sell best, even with this, she greatly enjoys offering customers the things that she has in her shop. She has been working at this for six years and hopes to see her bookshop grow and become the main one in the neighborhood as in this way she can improve her income and change her life for the better. It is her second loan with MFP. She paid off her previous loan punctually and hopes to pay this latest one on time too. With the 2000 nuevos soles that she requested she plans to implement improvements in her bookshop to have more products to offer to her customers.
