Hold Sorbeh Group's story

In the photo are members of the “Hold Sorbeh” group. They are small scale businesswomen based in Magburaka, a town in northern Sierra Leone. They have requested a loan of SLL 800,000.00 for each to help further develop their respective businesses.

The leader of this group is Esther. Esther is age 40; she was born in the town of Magburaka where she is currently residing together with her husband and 3 children. Her husband is a trader and her children are attending primary and secondary schools. For 15 years now, Esther has been selling dried fish. With her share of the loan, she is gong to buy baskets of dried fish to add to her business.
