A loan of $450 helped a member to buy a new sewing machine for sewing business.

Nasreen's Group's story

Nasreen is 31 years old. In order to financially support her family she sews clothes for her neighboring clients. She is very skillful and receives good number of orders every month. She also does embroidery work if she gets any orders for that from her clients.

She is married to M. A. who is a driver and provides transport services to his passengers. Nasreen is the mother of five children. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for the expansion of her sewing business. Through the loan, she will buy a new sewing machine which will help her finish the orders on time and increase her profits.

She is hopeful that this investment will help grow her business and help her enrolling her eldest son, who is now 5 years of age, in school. She is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her 2nd loan application. In the previous loan year, she paid her installments on time and never missed any meeting.

She comes from Faisalabad which is an industrial city and famous in Pakistan for its textile industry. She has been living there in a 2-room brick house with her family in Mai-di-Jughi for the past 13 years.
