Antonio's story

Antonio, 66, is married and has one child in his care. He lives in his own house located in the hamlet of Guaraguaos Alto in Tambogrande District in Piura in northern Perú. Antonio lives in the rural part of this district and does not have basic utilities. Antonio is a farmer. He has 6.09 hectares planted with mangoes. The plantation is 8 years old. He also has 1.5 hectares of corn that was planted ten days ago. In a complementary fashion, he also raises sheep which, when they reach ideal size and weight, he sells at the Ioca market. He has twenty years experience in this line of work and this length of time in business has made it possible for Antonio to position his animals in a fixed market permanently. Antonio has requested a 3000 PEN loan from Edpyme Alternativa to buy fertilizer and farming chemicals for his mango crops in order to obtain an optimal, timely harvest. Antonio is a determined, hard working person. His greatest wish is to continue growing as a businessman to improve his family’s quality of life.
