A loan of $725 helped to buy merchandise for her business.

Margarita's story

Margarita is 51 years old and has four children who live independently and support her financially. She lives with her husband, a daughter, and her two grandchildren in Chepen district, one hour from Chiclayo province and two hours from La Libertad department. Here the locals work in agriculture, livestock raising and tourism.

Margarita has a small grocery store in her home where she works. She sells staple goods, basic household products and groceries to her neighbors and local customers. Her business is very popular. In addition, Margarita sells iced treats from a cart as an itinerant vendor. Through these business activities, she helps her husband to financially support their family.

As a result of the growing demand that Margarita's grocery store has experienced recently, she decided to expand her business by acquiring more products. For this reason, she requested a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa.

Margarita is a hard-working, very good-natured woman. People who know her have a lot of respect and affection for her.
