A loan of $2,325 helped a member increase business capital.

Sabrisitas Group's story

The “Sabrositas” communal bank will begin their first cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the “Centro Focal de Germán Busch.” The group is made up of nine members that are managed by a board headed by Clara. The communal bank's businesses vary. They include shops, cleaning, bricklaying and stylist services, as well as the sale of spare parts, clothing, food, metal ornaments and Avon cosmetics. Clara says it is the first time she has joined a communal bank with Pro Mujer, done at an advisor's invitation. Her business is car parts sales. She started it three years ago, with her husband's help. The loan that Clara is taking out is to increase her working capital, so that she can purchase parts that are ordered by motorists. She sells them Monday to Saturday at her post. Her work allows her to generate resources to support her family however possible. Clara is married and has three kids.
