A loan of $725 helped to buy fine breed pigs to improve the livestock she breeds.

Clara's story

Clara, 43, lives in her own house with her husband and 3 children. The house only has electricity services and is located in the rural area of the hamlet of Simbila in the district of Catacao, about 30 minutes away from the department of Piura. The main activities in the area are agriculture, livestock and crafts (pottery and metal work).

For the last few years Clara has been raising and selling pigs. She keeps them just outsiD. her house and feeds them a balanced meal to ensure they reach their optimum growth. Then she sells them in different markets in the area and obtains a good income to cover her family expenses.

Clara has requested Edpyme Alternativa a loan for 2,000 soles to buy fine breed animals to improve the quality of her livestock, so as to obtain a better price for them in the markets where she sells them to her customers. This will improve her quality of life.

Clara is a very responsible and hard working person who just wants her business to grow and her family to benefit from opportunities in society.
