A loan of $450 helped to purchase second-hand shoes.

Komi Semanou's story

A 26 year-old single man, Komi fights daily to find ways to make a living. Since 2000, he travels to Accra (in Ghana, a neighboring country) to purchase second-hand fashionable shoes to resell here in Lome. If required by his job as a reseller, he also procures his products locally as is necessary.

He will use this first loan to purchase shoes to satisfy an ever-growing demand, so that he can turn a profit to better take care of his future family.
