Yrma's story

Yrma is 45 years old, and lives alone in her own home and only has electricity. It is located in the Totoral hamlet some 10 minutes from the district of Tambogrande and 40 minutes from the department of Piura. Most of the inhabitants in the area are farmers, cattle breeders and in handicrafts.

Yrma created in her home a small grocery store where she sells basic household goods (milk, sugar, rice and all types of candy, etc.) and household utensils. For her security and comfort she takes care of her customers whenever they need anything and they find everything they need for their daily use and are satisfied. Yrma also breeds certain farmyard fowl. With the sales of both businesses she tries to have a better quality of life.

Yrma went to Edpyme Alternativa to get a loan of 1500 nuevos soles to supply her store with different merchandize (foodstuff and utensils for domestic use) to meet the needs of her customers, this will help her increase her earnings to pay her loan and improve her business. Yrma is known in her town as a nice, happy and very hardworking person who always has the drive to get ahead.
