One To Two Group's story

In the photo are members of the “One To Two” group. They are small-scale businesswomen based in Magburaka, a town in northern Sierra Leone. This is the first loan these entrepreneurs are accessing from SMT/Kiva. With this loan, they will be able to expand their businesses, make more profit and consequently improve their standard of living.

The leader of this group is Memunatu K.. Memunatu is age 35; she was born in Moyba village but she is currently residing in Magburka together with her husband and five children. Her husband is a monthly salaried staff person and her children are attending primary and secondary schools. For six years now, Memunatu has been selling cotton cloth and ready-to-wear clothes. With this loan, she will buy cotton cloth and ready-to-wear clothes wholesale to add to her business inventory.
