A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase foraging for his dairy cows.

Gerardo's story

Gerardo A. is 51 years old. He has 4 children together with his wife, Virginia Omonte, and they are his life. They live in the municipality of Vinto in the city of Cochabamba. Gerardo's work is to milk his cows every day. Even though he only has a few cows he puts in all of his efforts into raising them, especially since it is through them that he obtains a large part of his income. Gerardo has a large family to feed and so he also works by digging wells in the region. Gerardo needs a loan to purchase feed and foraging for his herd of cows, especially because the feed for his cows has been increasing incrementally. He wants to purchase in large quantities for a lower price so that he will be able to feed his herd adequately and not die. He is thankful to those individuals who, through Kiva, will give him the opportunity to have money to feed his cows. Gerardo has plans in the future to access a new loan to improve his home.
