A loan of $900 helped to buy chickents.

Fátima Narciza's story

The “Divine Son” Community Bank meets every fifteen days in the Picoaza Parrish in the town of Portoviejo, a place known for its business center, its traditional celebrations of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, and the joyfulness of its people.
In this place we meet Mrs. Fatima who is 52 years old, separated, with five children. Four of the children are grown and the last one, a fifteen year old girl, studies at the high school. Two of her children live at home.
Fátima is a wonderful mother. In order to earn a living and to insure her daughter has everything that she needs, for the past two years she has had a small stand in the Picoaza market. She sells chicken meat by the pound. She works everyday from 6am until 6pm with the assistance of her children. She buys the chickens from local farms. They give her a good price as she buys them live and she kills them based on her sales needs. This she does so her customers have the best product.
She will use this loan to buy chickens that she will later sell. She has had three loans with the community bank and she appreciates the ability to rapidly attain the loan.
Her dream is to have her own booth that she doesn’t have to rent from someone else.
