Yara's story

Sra. Yara is a member of the Communal Bank “Las Dalilas” in the District of Yarinacocha, Department of Ucayali. She is 52 years old and has five children. Three of them are adults and the other two are minors who are still under her care.

Yara sells cosmetics and perfumes through catalogs. She has participated in six loan cycles with Manuela Ramos. With this new loan of 2000 PEN, she will buy a four-pack of eye shadows, two blushes, one lip liner, two talcum powders for women, four deodorants, one hand crème, one hair crème, one anti-wrinkle crème, two after-bath sprays, two sunscreens, one perfume for women, and two colognes for men.

Yara keeps her merchandise in a display cabinet so that she can offer them to her customers. There are times when they come to her when pressed for time and need to purchase a last-minute gift.

Yara is raising her children alone and her work enables her to support them. She is grateful for being given the opportunity to be part of the Manuela Ramos family. Most of all, she is thankful that everyone has the confidence that she will not disappoint them.
