Cipriana's story

The communal bank is called "Sumac Tika-Valle Sagrado". It is located in the community of Qotohuycho, belonging to the province of Urubamba and the department of Cusco.

Her name is Cipriana. She is 40 years old, married, and she has 6 children, aged, 23, 23, 17, 14, 12, and 10. She alternates her daily household activities with her small catering business in the downtown of Urubamba. She makes different foods and she takes them on her special pots to the area to sell on a wheelbarrow. She already has clients who look for her everyday to buy the traditional meals. She requests a loan to purchase ingredients in wholesale, such as cooking oil, rice, potatoes, pasta, cheese, vegetables, and other ingredients to be able to cook at home. Her daughters help her and she disburses what she earns to the household fund to provide the education and support of her children. She has requests a loan to purchase ingredients to prepare her foods for sale.

She is thankful and she wants to underline that she will commit to her loan payments in a responsible manner.
