A loan of $200 helped to buy school supplies for her children.

Nicolasa's story

Nicolasa, 39, lives in her own house with her husband and three children; the house only has water and electricity and is located in the hamlet of Chacupe Alto, a rural area belonging to La Victoria District, Chiclayo Province. This area’s main activities are farming, crafts and raising livestock.

Nicolasa has sold milk and raised animals (chickens, ducks, cows and pigs) for some time. Her corrals are located in her back yard for increased security. She feeds them natural grasses and nutritionally balanced feed and once they reach ideal size and weight she sells them in the various markets in Chiclayo producing higher income for her family’s expenses.

Through a 500 new sol loan granted by Edpyme Alternativa, Nicolasa will buy school supplies for her children and also continue buying barnyard fowl which is a very profitable business thus improving her profits considerably.

Nicolasa is a mother who is very dedicated to her work and to her children who she hopes will get ahead some day.
