A loan of $1,150 helped to buy veterinarian medicines, pet accessories and new brands of natural products.

Rita Liliana's story

Rita Liliana is an active young lady who dreams about studying to be a veterinarian to add new services to her business in the neighborhood of La Paya. This is where she sells veterinarian and natural products in a shop owned by her mother and which is close to her house, currently under construction.

Her enterprising idea started in 2008 when her husband passed away. Her mother inspired her to take advantage of the shop and helped her to start selling veterinarian products. With her dog, Rita learned all about taking care of pets and this has helped her tremendously.

By concentrating on her business she was able to grow little by little, buying a display case and inventory. But she wants to expand even further and has requested a CrediKiva loan to buy veterinarian medicines, pet accessories and new brands of natural products. This is her second loan through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation. She used her first loan to stabilize her business and gradually increase inventory. Now she has her own capital. Her dream is to study veterinary medicine to add it to her services. Natural pharmaceuticals are her great challenge.
