A loan of $725 helped to buy more brown bean seeds.

Julian's story

Julián, 52, is a father living with his wife and children in a house of his own, that only has potable water, in La Calera which is located about 10 minutes from Reque District and 10 minutes more from the city of Chiclayo. It’s a district that’s characterized by its residents who are involved in farming, raising livestock and tourism. Julián has been farming his fields for over 15 years; his children help him with the less heavy chores. He farms Frijol Bayo (a species of bean) that is a healthy, rich food used daily by the residents. Once it’s harvested his income will increase and he will continue improving his quality of life. Julián is asking Edpyme Alternativa for a 2000 new sol loan to buy bean seeds to plant in another area he has with the end in mind of having more products to sell in Chiclayo’s various markets. All these improvements that Julian has are aimed at producing more income to cover family needs.
