Akossiwa is a 37-year-old widow with two children, and is a retailer of drinks. She began her business in 2005 and has two employees. She sells drinks at her bar, named "Chelser," after buying her supplies at the brewery in Lomé. This loan will serve to buy drinks for resale to the general populace. Akossiwa wants to increase her business in order to enlarge her bar by adding additional business activities, ensure a bright future for her children, and eventually own her own house so she will no longer have to pay rent.
