A loan of $725 helped to buy material to make footwear.

Juana's story

Juana is 39 years old. She is a very humble and hard-working woman who lives in her own home together with her husband, 65 year-old José, and her five beloved children who she would like to provide with a better future.

Juana owns a cobbler's. She set up her business together with her husband because he had experience in this trade. They have now been working untiringly in this business for 17 years. They work all day long in order to make the income they need for their family. Juana and her husband enjoy their work a lot since they are people who have always worked and therefore it is not difficult for them, although it often proves tiring. However, they do not give up. On the contrary, they work hard in order to fulfill their dream of setting up a book store / general store in their home since their area is starting to become very commercial. They are building hospitals nearby in the area and it will soon be a very busy place.

This is Juana's eleventh loan from MFP. She feels very happy to have obtained it and is ready to make her repayments on time. She will use the 2,000 Peruvian soles she has requested to buy materials for making shoes and thereby improve her production.
