A loan of $550 helped to buy replacement parts and to perform maintenance on his motorcycle.

Natividad's story

Natividad, age 26, is a very active and hard-working young man. He lives with his parents and his girl-friend in a rural community called El Imperial, which is in the Olmos – Lambayeque province.

Natividad has several years of experience providing “mototaxi” service in his area (mototaxi is a very common public transportation service in Peru, especially in the small communities; it consists of a motorcycle with a cabin in the back that can be used to transport passengers). He knows his customers very well, and he knows their routes because he works non-stop every day.

His mototaxi has had some problems recently. This has caused Natividad to miss some hours of work, and his earnings have gone down.

Natividad is requesting a loan for 1,5000 soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy replacement parts and for maintenance on his motorcycle. He will do this to be able to continue his work and to get his usual income.

Natividad is saving part of his income to buy another mototaxi. That way he will expand his business so that in the future he can get married and have his own house.
