A loan of $725 helped to buy merchandise for Mother's Day sales.

Yuliana Elizabet's story

Yuliana is an entrepreneurial, 21 year-old woman. She is married and lives together with her husband in La Pradera, an area which is located in Pimentel district, Chiclayo.

Up until five years ago, La Pradera was a marginal urban area (very poor and with high levels of crime). However, the location of a prestigious university in the area meant that La Pradera started to become known and recently it started developing properly.

Yuliana has a business in the Mercado Modelo market. This is the most popular market in the city of Chiclayo. For three years, she has been selling items for filling piñatas, and decorations, particularly for children's parties. She sells her products from a fixed sales location.

Yuliana is requesting a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy merchandise for her business such as gift boxes, hats, balloons, etc. because demand increases considerably around Mother's Day, which is one of the best sales dates of the year for Yuliana's business.

This loan will enable Yuliana to buy merchandise for cash at competitive prices, without having to rely on indirect loans or informal money lenders who charge above-average interest rates.

Yuliana has good personal and credit references.
