A loan of $725 helped to buy yarn and materials so that she can knit more items.

Yolanda's story

Yolanda is 29 years old. She is a simple and hard-working woman who lives in her own home together with her 6 year-old son Jefferson. What she wants more than anything is to be able to provide her son with a better quality of life.

Yolanda is a very hard-working woman who, thanks to the teaching she received when she was very young, is now able to cover her household expenses. Yolanda knits sweaters, gloves, scarves and other items. She enjoys her work a lot because she loves to create and imprint this on every item that she knits. She puts a lot of commitment and effort into finishing her items off really well. This work enables her to be independent. In the future, Yolanda would like to break into another type of business and so she is thinking of buying clothes and footwear to sell in the provinces which will mean she will have to travel frequently.

This is Yolanda's fourth loan from MFP. She has always been very punctual in making her loan repayments. She will use the 2,000 Peruvian soles she has requested to buy a larger quantity of yarn and materials for her knitting and, if possible, a knitting machine.
