A loan of $1,300 helped a member to buy agricultural inputs for her vegetable garden.

Kambeng Group's story

The Kambeng solidarity group was created on May 26, 2001. It is composed of six women from the same neighborhood. They are relatives and neighbors who decided to form a group together. Their main line of work is market gardening and vending.

Mrs. Aramata M., on the left in the photo wrapped in a blue scarf, is the group’s leader. She is married and the mother of five. She also has three other children in her care, entrusted to her by relatives. Her business activity is marked gardening. She has a small vegetable garden by her house. She has lots of experience after having practiced gardening for about 10 years. Her new loan will allow her to buy agricultural inputs needed for gardening. Her goal is to help her husband provide for the family needs (her children’s education, healthcare, etc.).
