A loan helped to buy ingredients for making baked goods.

Marina's story

Marina is 29 years of age and married with three children. She has a business selling baked goods in the local community. She has three years of experience in this business.

Marina needs a loan of 1450 Samoan tala (WST) to purchase raw ingredients needed to make products for sale. She plans to use the profit from her business (estimated to be 100 talas or about $42 US per week) to improve and expand it.

Marina joined SPBD to gain access to financial services. Most of SPBD's clients are unable to borrow from commercial banks, because they lack collateral. This is Marina's second loan with SPBD.
