A loan of $1,200 helped to buy fabric and fleece to make comforters.

Valeria's story

Valeria is a longstanding client of the institution and has shown good willingness to pay and kind and courteous behavior during the evaluation that was done on her.

She sells comforter and blankets on Saturdays and Sundays in the heavily populated 16 de Julio zone of El Alto, Bolivia. She starts work around 5pm. She delivers her products on credit to party centers that are common in this area and collects payment the next day for completed sales.

From Monday through Friday she works sewing comforters for a private micro firm; she’s been doing this for about 5 years. Because of this, Valeria has the necessary experience to start this new activity. Her spouse is employed at a cured meats firm so he contributes to family income.

The loan money will be used to buy fabric because Valeria wants to make comforters to sell. The efforts they put into having better living conditions is constant. The family’s greatest wish is to have a stable patrimony so that their children can have professional careers. They struggle daily to attain this end.
