Isabel's story

Isabel is a member of the Flor D. Coral community bank. She is 54 years old and married.
Isabel owns a corner shop where she sells groceries. She will use this loan to buy the merchandise she needs to stock her business. She and her husband operate the store in the Peruvian province of Vilcas Huaman. Among other things, they sell rice, sugar, pasta, flour, eggs, bottled water, fruits, vegetables, meat and chicken. They also have a farm where they grow maize, wheat, barley, beans, etc. After their harvest, they carry their crop to Ayacucho for sale in the markets there.
Isabel joined FINCA Peru when a friend invited her to join. She likes the community bank because it provides a source of credit that has helped her business and allowed her to save. She's been a member for 2 years and she's been able to use her extra income to buy things that she needs for her house. Now she is saving to build her working capital.
Isabel's goal is to continue growing her business.
