Modesta's story

Sra. Modesta belongs to the Communal Bank “San Isidro de Yanahura – 5to Paradero” which is located in the District and Province of Urubamba, Department of Cusco.

She is 37 years old, married, and has seven children. Modesta divides her time between her daily activities and her business of raising animals such as pigs and chickens. She also has a plot of land on which she grows vegetables such as carrots, cabbages, and lettuce. Modesta sells her produce at the market in Urubamba as a street vendor. Through these businesses, she has been able to help her children move forward. Modesta wants to expand both her businesses of selling vegetables and raising animals. Therefore, she is requesting a loan to buy animals and seeds to plant on her land.

Modesta is happy with the loan and promises to complete her payments.
