A loan of $4,875 helped a member to purchase more sacks of Irish potatoes.

Peace Group's story

Rashidi R. is in his early 30s, married, and has one child. He has been selling Irish potatoes for one year. He works from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, but he also travels to deliver bags of potatoes. He leaves the city at 6:00 am and stays upcountry for about two days. When he returns, he delivers potatoes to his customers. He makes a good monthly profit.

This will be Rashidi's third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to buy more potatoes and has paid back his loans successfully. He is requesting a loan to buy more sacks of Irish potatoes. His dream is start a video library.

Rashidi will share this loan with his loan group "Peace," which has 20 members. The members of the group hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
