Mkwalila Group's story

Maulid K. is in his late fifties and is married with children. He has been running a general store since 2001. He works from 7.00am to 8.00pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be Maulid's fifth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans increase the shop stock and bought a motorcycle. He has paid back his loans successfully. He hopes for a loan to buy another motorcycle for transport business. His dream is to one day own a hardware shop. Maulid will share this loan with his loan group "Mkwalila" which has a total of 20 members. The members of the group will hold each accountable is paying back their loans.
