Javier's story

Javier is 42 years old, married, and lives with his wife and two young children. They own a home in the village of Cruce de Vega in the District of Tambogrande, Department of Piura, in northern Peru. Even though Javier lives in the rural section of the community, he still receives electricity.

He works as a farmer in order to support his household. Javier has two hectares of land of which one and a half hectares are devoted to mango production. He has been growing this crop for eight years. The remaining half hectare is devoted to producing lemons which are harvested each week. In addition, Javier works at a farming cooperative to generate additional income. He has five years of experience as a farmer.

Each of his products has an established market. He has customers who are very happy with the goods that he offers. Javier is requesting a loan of 3000 PEN from Edpyme Alternativa so that he can complete farm tasks, such as applying fertilizers and chemicals. He hopes to achieve a good-quality harvest at the right time and in the appropriate amounts. Javier hopes to grow as an entrepreneur and provide his family a better quality of life.

He is a new client of Edpyme Alternativa. Javier has managed loans with another bank, so he presents a good credit history that indicates that he is responsible, prompt, and hardworking.
