A loan of $500 helped to purchase corn and firewood.

Rosa Estela's story

Rosa lives in the city of San Miguel. She sells tortillas and firewood. She lives with her husband and their two children, aged 19 and 8. Her eldest son works and he contributes with his salary. She started her business out of need. she learned to make tortillas when she was young and when she lived with her mother. She works from 8am to 6pm from Monday to Sunday.

She requests a loan to purchase corn and firewood. With this loan she will acquire what she needs to keep making her tortillas and to increase production.

Her objective is to one day be able to reinvest her profits in the business without needing a loan, to have her earnings more at her disposal.
